On Thursday afternoon, 10 November, we welcomed an important guest in Řež - the European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson visited us as part of her programme in the Czech Republic.
In addition to a summary of the activities of the UJV Group, Ms Simson was given information on the possibilities of new fuel for VVER reactors and, at her special request, we presented our radiopharmaceuticals. She then gave a "live" tour of our premises and saw our PET production centre - cyclotron, laboratories and dispatch. During the TriHyBus ride, we also presented our hydrogen projects for emission-free transport and energy storage. Kadri Simson concluded her visit to Řež with a tour of the LR-0 research reactor at our subsidiary Centrum výzkumu Řež.
Kadri Simson was keenly interested in the details of the presented projects and at the end of the visit she appreciated the innovative potential of our experts and the technological level of the presented projects. We presented the Czech Republic in the field of ionizing radiation with dignity.
